Step-by-step process
The process takes approximately 10-12 hours of hands-on work for sedans, and 16-20 hours for large SUVs and trucks, and it involves seven steps.
Step 1
Thorough wash
A complete hand wash to remove dirt, grime, and surface contaminants from your vehicle.
Step 2
Decontamination
The elimination of embedded contaminants that regular washing can't reach, ensuring a clean surface for bonding.
Step 3
Paint correction
If needed, this is a light buffing to remove swirl marks, surface scratches, and imperfections, restoring clarity and smootheness to the paint.
Step 4
Surface prep
Application of an isopropyl alcohol solution to remove any remaining oils or residues, ensuring maximum coating adhesion.
Step 5
Ceramic coating
Application of the polymer, carefully applied in small sections, enabling it to bond with the paint at a molecular level.
Step 6
Leveling & curing
After application, the coating is leveled (i.e., buffed with a microfiber cloth) for an even finish and then left to cure. (Some coatings may require infrared curing for optimal results.)
Step 7
Final inspection
A thorough inspection to ensure a flawless finish.
